What to Expect
From the first to the final session, the feedback from our clients has been overwhelmingly positive, and the effects continue to build over time. Most clients experience and recognize within themselves the majority of changes in the three weeks following and they continue to experience benefits for up to three years.

Before You Arrive

Completed online at your convenience, you will submit a pair of online surveys, Subjective and Objective, to help us understand your therapy goals.

Assessment

This is your first on-location session. We will connect you to our equipment using non-invasive Intellisensors™, enabling us to collect the data we need to analyze your personal brainwave patterns. To ensure we are able to gather a comprehensive understanding of your brain activity, this session is completed with you in a resting state (for example, sitting quietly with your eyes closed) or on-task (such as reading a book or watching a video)

Goal-Setting

Based on the assessment and your individual needs, we will work with you to create a strategy to achieve your goals through Brain Training with Bio Feedback.

Recalibration

You will participate in ten 90-minute sessions during your stay at Imaginal Mind and Body. Each session is designed to ensure you are in a comfortable and relaxed state of mind. We will connect the Intellisensors™ to various points on your head, and through the provided earphones you will hear a series of musical tones. This is the sound of your current brainwave activity.

During your session, you will watch a video or engage in another activity on the computer, or close your eyes to participate in an imaging exercise or simply relax. These activities will enable us to see how your brain is responding and allow us to make changes as appropriate.

Review

At the end of your final Brain Training with Bio Feedback session, you will retake the Objective survey and then we will discuss your progress from your perspective.

We will provide you with an information package that includes:

  • Two graphs to illustrate the progress you’ve made over the 10 sessions.
  • A CD of meditative sounds to reinforce the effects of your sessions.
  • A quick-reference brochure to help you continue to improve after you’ve left our retreat.
